A shadow-bird flutters in the diaphragm’s cup
Shallow breaths and seed bites shrinking wingspan
Darkens the path of possibilities
With predatory punishments, threats
I dare you don’t you dare
Counter-act producing proof until the half-assed will rebukes itself into compassionate action
Here’s the kicker
Ignite the junker or rust in the garden
Behead the beast with blades of light
Sharp truth and tender water
Plumbing plexus mud
Up to our elbows in yesterday’s sludge
Clear the corded mirror
Stare into the sun
Shine
xo
Poetry for lunch. Also those yellow flowers grow everywhere around our neighborhood and have always reminded me of the twisty macaroni and cheese. Yes, I’m hungry. What are you having?
I haven’t decided yet. I had a peach a little while ago…what are you having with your poetry?

Behead the beast with blades of light…love it. Nothing better than poetry for lunch, well except for maybe some tiramisu and coffee π
