Walk the burning street and live there.
Unlikely alternatives forcing you to peel off sticky labels conveniently slapped where understanding wants to be.
You don’t know me.
You don’t know mine.
No need for explanations. Chin up buttercup. You got this.

This is wonderful! Loved it!
I, too, recently gave it a shot at poetry and would love to know what you think about it!

Dverse Poets prompt for tonight is ‘blessings’. I should think this fits it just beautifully. Why don’t you link up? Dversepoets.com – I believe it’s Paul Scribbles hosting tonight. I haven’t the direct link yet, will get it only after nine pm but saw it on another blog post. Give it a try! Only if you want to. No pressure.

Thanks! Sounds fun. Do I just copy and past the website? Can I call Paul D.J Scribbles? 😉

Once you’re at the particular post, read the set of instructions: there’s a Mr Linky widget which will open to a new tab called Blenza, you paste the url of your post into the form area below, first your name then the url , press ‘enter’, wait a sec or two and voila, your name will appear. As I said I’ll only get the direct link just after nine tonight due to time zones. You should have it available by now. Open Dverse Poets blog, the top most post should be the latest for today. I don’t have Paul’s tel no, I write from South Africa.

It would take a blessing to live well on the burning street or where ever one happened to turn up.

It has taken an abundance of blessings and I’m grateful for them all.

Great! I’m so not tech savvy. I have a theory that ultimately it’s all good. Hadn’t intended to see this particular piece as such but a fellow blogger decided it works. Cheers!

Glad to find your site! I love this phrase, “peel off sticky labels conveniently slapped where understanding wants to be.” So succinct but packed with meaning. Very stimulating.

I started reading your most recent post, but realised I’m too tired, and should be in bed. I’ll get back to it tomorrow.
This poem is wonderful. The only sticky labels I like are the ones that say SPECIAL OFFER, but that often turns out to be misleading, too.

Some of my stuff is like Kilimanjaro. Sleep well and come back with a Sherpa .,maybe? 🙂 When are labels not misleading?
